This has been a really fun story to work on and I have to thank Todd Dezago for letting me do it. Todd has been nice enough to let me play with his characters a number of times now. The stories I do for them always end up being some of my best writing. And that is solely due to how layered Todd has made these characters. It would volumes of books to reveal all the backstory he has created for the Perhapanauts. I’ve heard just a small percentage of it and it is riveting. Beyond the Perhapanauts I want to thank Todd for all the help he gave me when I was getting started with After-School Agent. I had a vague notion that I wanted to write comics but had no idea how to go about doing that. Years ago a friend of mine had introduced me to Todd. Our meeting lasted about 2 minutes. That was way back in the 90s. Flash forward to the 2000s and I thought I should talk to a working comic book writer. Todd was the first person that came to mind. I tracked him down and sent him an out-of-the-blue email asking for advice. Not only did he remember me, he gave me his number and we talked for hours about the comic book world. That was the start of a great friendship.
Once again, big thanks to Craig Rousseau for a) letting me write this story and b) drawing the last two pages. Go check out his artwork here:
